Each session targets hair in its active growth phase. Over a series, fewer hairs grow back. Until most stop entirely.

Why it takes a series
Hair grows in cycles: active, transitional, resting. Laser only affects hair that is actively growing, a portion of the field at any one time. Sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart so each visit catches the next wave as it cycles in, until most of the field has been treated.
