Who we are

AR Esthetic is a beauty studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, owned and operated by Ana Ramos. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through aresthetictoronto.com and in the studio, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Booking and contact details: your name, email address, and phone number when you book a ritual, join a waitlist, purchase a gift card, or place an order.

Service information: notes about your skin, preferences, and treatment history, recorded so we can care for you safely across visits.

Payment information: payments are processed by Square, Stripe, or PayPal. We never see or store your full card number; those providers handle it under their own security standards.

Email engagement: if you receive our emails, we record whether they were delivered and opened so we can stop sending what you do not read.

Internal financial data: the studio's own bank and payment account information is connected through Plaid, a regulated financial data network, strictly for the owner's internal bookkeeping. No client financial data is ever collected through Plaid.

How we use it

To schedule and provide your treatments, send appointment confirmations and reminders, fulfil orders, respond to messages, and — only if you have opted in — send occasional studio updates. We never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their marketing.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. It is stored in managed, access-controlled infrastructure (Supabase and Cloudflare) where only the owner has access, protected by row-level security. Operational secrets are kept server-side and never exposed in the browser.

How long we keep it

We keep records only as long as needed to serve you and to meet Canadian tax and accounting obligations. You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will act on the request promptly unless the law requires us to retain it.
